In one of our recent posts, we recommended 10 villages to visit this year. While there’s something romantically English about the rural village, even more quintessentially beautiful are the cottages which dot the villages greens and narrow lanes of the country’s settlements. We’ve been lucky to stumble across some stunning cottages in our travels and here are some of our favourites for you to tick off your 2020 bucket list.

The English countryside is dotted with small village communities with a church, a pub and lovely cottages at their heart. From the outskirts of Bristol to the remote North Pennines in Northumberland, we were lucky enough to explore lots of villages last year. Exploring Blaise Hamlet

The tiny Blaise Hamlet is made up of nine cottages built around a green in the Henbury district of north Bristol. Hidden away adjacent to busy roads and a stone’s throw away from the M5, it is an idyllic oasis of calm; a reminder of bygone days.
